Absolutely! Every date can be perfect as long as you have great company,
great food and drinks, engaging conversation, chemistry, laughs, good eye contact and loads of spontaneity.
Someone you really like
The most important thing to ensure a perfect date is to go out with someone you actually like, someone you want to spend time with, getting to know them.
Who says a date has to be in the night at a fancy restaurant with a candle in the centre of the table? Although it always works, it is also the most predictable date idea ever! You need to think of ways of making your date memorable. That’s the key to a perfect date. So, instead of dressing up for a date in the evening, get in gear and go for a hike together; or pack a few munchies and drive down to a close-by lake; or take her to a painting exhibition or a piano concert, or a rock gig; go wine tasting. Anything that is different form the usual thing you do. Think. Think how you can stop being predictable.
Cook with love
Cooking for someone shows affection and love. It also shows the one you’re cooking for that you are willing to go to any length to make them happy. Cook a 3 course meal with an entrée, main course and dessert. Make sure you buy everything you need to cook your fabulous meals. Follow the recipe to the T and taste, taste, taste. Create a hotel-like ambience: fancy table cloth, cutlery, fragrance, flowers, and a long beautiful candle. Put on a chef hat and apron, list the menu, serve her drinks, bring out the food, check if everything is okay, go all out. If this is getting too much for you, you can even cook together, like baking a cake, or making a dish that you both love.
Can be the simplest of things
A perfect date can also involve her favourite movie, a comfortable couch, a decent TV, a bowl full of salty, buttery popcorn; or a cheesy pizza, and chilled coke. It could also mean taking a bubble bath together, coupled with music and candles, given you have a big enough bath tub. It could also involve walking hand-in-hand, barefoot, through a blooming garden, or even having piping cups of chai and pakodas on a rainy day, under a tin shack. Or sitting out in the balcony on cane chairs with some good wine and a sky full of stars. Look into her eyes, be honest and make her feel special.
A perfect date is not a myth. Every date has the potential to be awesome. It doesn’t matter if you take her to a coffee shop and share a freshly-baked apple pie or to a happening pub and sit by the bar, sharing anecdotes and stories you both cherish. It’s you and the person with you who makes any night memorable. Rest of the things are only embellishments. They help, but the core ingredients are you two.
