The Euphoria is false
There is a definite euphoria, created even by thinking about gobbling the cookie or the chocolate. You feel you are crossing the limit laid by elders and dieticians and generally spoilsports and are so much happy for it. The rebel in you works over time and says, “The hell with the world” and you tuck all the more into the pie on the sly. You suddenly sit up and realize the folly of it all and are overcome by guilt.
More more still more
The cycle changes now to one that is guilt-ridden. You say to yourself that you had been an idiot and give yourself a dressing down and deride yourself. You work yourself in to a frenzy of sorts which again results in eating more and more. So goes the vicious circle and continues and before you know it, you start looking like King Kong and Godzilla combined.
Comfort Food? Think again
It is convenient to call chocolates, cakes and other mouth-watering items of food comfort food. Does it really work that way? Comfort you? No way! On the contrary, you deliberately up the ante with increasing sugar levels to alarming proportions . Comfort foods? More like discomfort foods!
